I was born and raised in Los Angeles. After graduating from Biola University in 1990 and attending UC Berkeley in 1992/93, I worked in Advertising and Database Marketing for 14 years in LA and Orange County. In 2004 I made a career switch into visual arts education. After receiving my single subject teaching credential from Long Beach State I moved to Santa Rosa where I have been a full-time Visual Arts Instructor at Roseland University Prep since 2006. RUP is a public charter high school serving 400+ mostly first generation Latino students from the Roseland area of Santa Rosa. Since 2009 I have rented a studio space in the Backstreet Studios & Gallery at SOFA (the South A St. Arts District) in Santa Rosa. My preferred media include natural fibers, encaustic, photography and multi-media drawing.
